Perm greeted the City Day with bright colours and on a large scale

On 11 June, the singer Zivert’s concert in the square in front of the Theatre-Theater was attended by about 75,000 people. The Perm Mayor  Aleksey Demkin congratulated the residents and guests of the city, and also handed over the symbolic “key  to the city” to  the Perm Directorate for Cultural events, who was responsible for  the whole  celebration programme.

On June 11, on the eve of the large-scale celebration of the 300th anniversary of Perm, residents, representatives of youth organizations and creative teams met in the square in front of the Theatre-Theater to count out the last minutes before the  start of the 300th anniversary of Perm. Mayor of Perm Aleksey Demkin congratulated those gathered in the square  on the upcoming date and awarded memorable medals to creative teams of the city.

– We were preparing for this day and together went a long way, so that our beloved Perm will have her birthday dressed up  and bright, cheerful and generous to its residents and guests. Thank you, Perm, that you exist! Thank you, permyaki, for your active participation, ideas and projects, which, no doubt, have made this year more interesting. Dear guests of the Prikamye capital! We  wish  you would love Perm as much as we do. There will be  many happy encounters, pleasant surprises and, of course, a lot of music during these days.  The whole city team is sure that the word «happiness»   will sound more often, and there will be more smiles in the streets of the city!, said  Aleksey Demkinm in his address to those present.

The celebration of the 300th anniversary of Perm on June 12th  was filled with various events that took place in all central locations of the city. In addition, this year the Perm authorities took a lot of efforts to organize celebration events for residents of all districts of the city. 

On June 12,  at the special Mayor’s Reception at the Soldatov Palace Aleksey Demkin awarded people who have made a substantial  contribution into  the development of the city. A delegation of Sverdlovsk Oblast city leaders came over to visit, and   other Russian and foreign partners sent their greetings.
